🏢 Multi-Site Overnight Rule — Gap is NOT a Break
If an officer works at two different sites with a gap of ≤90 minutes between them, the gap between sites does not count as a rest break — it is travel/transition time.
Total hours across both sites determine break entitlement. Each break must be taken within its respective shift segment.
Example: Site A 18:00–22:00 (4h) + Site B 23:00–07:00 (8h) = 12h total → 2 breaks required
• Break 1: ~21:15–21:45 at Site A (near end of first shift, before leaving)
• Break 2: ~03:00–03:30 at Site B (mid-overnight at second site)
The 1-hour gap between sites is not counted as either break.
